A veteran investigative journalist who says former President Obama spied on her says President Trump definitely could have been wiretapped, and no one would know about it.
Sharyl Attkisson said contrary to the liberal media narrative, the president can issue directives to surveil anyone he wants, and no one can stop him.
“Here’s a really strange, weird thing that a source firsthand told me: Presidents can issue directives that allow people to do things that are otherwise illegal – almost anything,” Attkisson told Fox and Friends. She added:
I’m not saying that happened, but yes, I’m told that there is a power for any president, not just President Obama, to issue these directives … That means we would never know about it because the directive comes with a cover story and indemnity for those involved, and the permission for them to lie about it if they’re ever caught.
Attkisson, a former CBS News reporter, said that happened to her years ago when she was covering then-President Obama.
“When I was doing a lot of coverage of the Obama administration that they didn’t like and were trying to stop, a [government] source approached me and told me I was likely being surveilled,” Attkisson said.

Attkisson said a computer specialist she had hired to look at her computer confirmed she was being spied on by the government.
“There have now been four forensic exams that have confirmed there was software proprietary to a federal government agency in my computer,” said Attkisson, who has since filed a federal lawsuit. “We just want them to tell us who had control and access of the government-owned IP address that’s been found forensically in my computer.”
Since Obama allegedly spied on her and on Fox News reporter James Rosen and his parents, Sheryl Attkisson says it’s definitely possible that Obama spied on Donald Trump during the presidential campaign.
“I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility, especially considering the New York Times and USA Today reported that there was wiretapping going on of some of his top people,” Attkisson said.
