Two years after calling for gun control, rapper Snoop Dogg “assassinated” President Trump in his new music video.
Snoop Dogg spotlighted his leftist hypocrisy while shilling the music video for his new single, “Lavender,” where he shoots a clown dressed as Donald Trump with a gun.
While a rapper glorifying gun violence is not surprising, Snoop’s video is ironic considering he had advocated gun control just two years ago.
In a 2015 public service announcement, Snoop urged fans to join him in “unloading” by pushing for stricter gun control and divesting their retirement portfolios from the gun industry.
“How I’ve been affected by gun violence over the years is through deaths of friends and family members and associates,” Snoop said. “I’m unloading for my loved ones that I lost.”
Senator Marco Rubio slammed Snoop Dogg’s new video, saying assassinating a president isn’t funny.
“Snoop shouldn’t have done that,” Rubio said. “We have had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that you should really be very careful about.”
Snoop recently trashed President Trump in an incoherent, profanity-laced tirade to Billboard:
The ban that this motherf*cker tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill mother*uckers and get away with it; people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years and motherf*ckers that’s not black on the streets making money off of it. It’s a lot of clown sh*t going on.
Twitter reacted by slamming Snoop as a “complete hypocrite.”
Snoop Dogg is a complete hypocrite. He calls for gun control when he actually glorifies guns in his music‼️ pic.twitter.com/s2Ueh3TN35

Others remembered how Snoop cozied up to Donald Trump in 2011, when he spoke at Comedy Central’s roast of the billionaire.
