Female jogger credits self defense class taken 3 wks earlier for surviving sex attack in bathroom

A Seattle jogger is crediting a self-defense class she had just taken for surviving an attack in a park restroom.

“Not today, M**F**er!” the woman screamed at the man.

Kelly Herron, who’s training for a marathon, was left bloodied, bruised and in need of stitches, but not only fought off the registered sex offender, but held him until police arrived.

The 40-year-old dirtbag, Gary Steiner, faces charges of attempted second-degree rape and second-degree assault with sexual motivation, according to The Seattle Times.

Herron shared the harrowing details of the assault on Instagram.

“My biggest running nightmare became reality — 4 miles into my long run Sunday afternoon, I stopped to use the restroom and was assaulted by a man hiding in a stall (that is my GPS in red lines),” she wrote.

“I fought for my life screaming (“Not today, M**F**er!”), clawing his face, punching back, and desperately trying to escape his grip- never giving up.”

As well she should, Herron emerged from the terrifying encounter strong in spirit.

“I was able to lock him in the bathroom until police arrived,” she went on to explain. “Thankfully I just took a self-defense class offered at my work and utilized all of it. My face is stitched, my body is bruised, but my spirit is intact.”

What an inspiration!
