Oh snap! Slick George Bush burns Matt Lauer BIGLY and he does it with a smile

Former President George W. Bush obliterated the media and NBC’s Matt Lauer with a scathing comment about their significance.

And he did it with a smile.

In an interview on the “Today” show, Bush responded to Lauer’s question about the challenge of unifying the country under President Donald Trump’s presidency, especially in light of the media’s influence on today’s politics.

“It’s hard to unify the country, though with the news media being so split up,” the 43rd president said. ” When I was president, you mattered a lot more.”

Ouch.

Bush also doused Lauer’s attempt to stoke the fire by asking him if he thought Trump had done a good job healing the country after the contentious election campaign.

“Well, first of all, there’s only been one month in office,” Bush said. ” He’s got four years.”

He defended Trump, saying Americans should “take the man for his word” about his intention to unify the nation. Ever the gentleman, Bush had also refused to bash the president in a recent appearance with Jimmy Kimmel, though he did find many of the comic jabs at Trump quite hilarious.

Twitter users seemed to enjoy the clip and the “brilliant” response of the former president.
