As President Donald Trump inspired Americans with his address to a joint session of Congress, the mood of the Democratic Party could be summed up in Nancy Pelosi‘s face.
The House Minority Leader seemed indifferent, and sometimes even disgusted, by the president’s speech Tuesday.

At times, the California congresswoman could not hide her disdain for Trump and refrained from applauding his policy proposals even when they were ones Democrats should have welcomed, like saving American jobs or protecting women’s health.

Following the address, the Democratic leader released a statement slamming the president for a speech “utterly disconnected from the cruel reality of his conduct.”

Pelosi accused the Trump administration of “making America sick again,” and vowed that Democrats would “continue to lead the fight against President Trump’s bait and switch assault on America.”
It seems other Democrats fell in line as Pelosi’s colleague, Sen. Chuck Schumer, agreed.
