Say what you will about President Donald Trump, no one can deny that he strives to deliver on his promises, and his speeches.
Trump returned to the CPAC spotlight after controversially skipping the 2015 event, and set the room on fire. Holding nothing back, Trump went straight for the jugular of the establishment media and the progressive left he has been battling since the day he won the presidential election.
“Our victory was a victory for conservative values,” he declared.

Fed-up with relentless media stories quoting anonymous sources Trump demanded, “make people use their names.” Then he dug deeper, “make them say it to my face.”

The president made sure to hit on the subject that gives him the most bipartisan support according to most polls, immigration.
Oscars? What Oscars? The Trumps have big plans for Sunday night
And perhaps what was most striking, and refreshing for many, was that the president didn’t hesitate to strongly reiterate his campaign promises.
We’re “way ahead of schedule on the wall,” Trump insisted.

And Trump didn’t shy away from talking about the pipeline that’s been at the heart of months-long protests.
“If they want a pipeline in the Untied States, they have to make pipes in the Untied States!” he proclaimed.
What a concept! Perhaps that will be good for jobs, which Trump touched on too.
“It’s time for all Americans to get off welfare, and get back to work. You are going to love it!” he told the roaring crowd.

Trump hit on preserving the American dream, fighting to protect the Second Amendment, and the future of the GOP.
“The GOP from now on, will be also, the Party of the American worker.”
Trump also talked of unity, reminiscent of his Inauguration speech when he spoke of the red blood that runs through the hearts of patriots.
“We are all equal, totally equal in the eyes of almighty God … The future belongs to us, and to all of you.”

“America is roaring and you can hear it!”
Trump closed with his most all-encompassing campaign promise of all.
America is coming back, “bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.”
Sounds great, Mr. President.
