Just when you think you’ve seen everything when it comes to racial hysteria…
A collective of artists are calling on the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors to end the use of black silhouette targets at gun ranges.
The No More Black Targets campaign claims there’s a “potential correlation” between the use of “menacing” black silhouettes and the deaths of young black men.

“Young black men are 3X more likely to be shot by trained shooters than their white peers,” the group states on its website. “A disturbing potential correlation: The most popular target for shooters to learn to use their firearm is a black silhouette. Unconscious bias can be deadly.”
Here’s an example of a suggested alternative… which may actually improve accuracy, because if you can hit that without being distracted, you’re pretty good.
The group has created a Change.org petition as part of an effort “to raise awareness of the danger of unconscious bias and how it may be perpetuating gun violence against young black males.”
The artists base their stance on a University of Illinois study that concluded shooters were more likely to fire at a black target.
“In our study we found two main things: First, people were quicker to shoot black targets with a gun, relative to white targets with a gun,” said University of Illinois researcher Yara Mekawi. “And … people were more trigger-happy when shooting black targets compared to shooting white targets.”
So there you have it… ensconced in stone, given how unbiased college campuses are today in America. Right?
