A leftist sob story about an illegal alien designed to garner sympathy has instead fueled public outrage.
Guadalupe García de Rayos is an illegal immigrant from Mexico who has lived in the United States since 1996. Since sneaking across the border into Arizona at age 14, Rayos has married another illegal alien and given birth to a boy and girl, who are now teenagers.
In 2008, Rayos was arrested for breaking the law again by using a fake Social Security number, which is a felony.
Since then, Rayos was required to meet every year with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.
But when Guadalupe showed up to meet ICE agents this year, they arrested and deported her back to Nogales, Mexico.
BREAKING: #GuadalupeGarcia has been deported to Nogales, Mexico, Carlos Garcia Director of Puente Arizona confirmed.

Rayos’ story was originally bleated by the New York Times under the title “Now They’re Deporting Her,” and has been widely circulated online and on mainstream cable news shows.

Rayos is being cited as an example of President Trump being too harsh in cracking down on illegal immigrants who commit felonies.
To be clear, Trump does not plan to deport all illegal aliens, but said he will deport illegals who commit felonies or violent crimes.
ICE will remove illegal aliens convicted of felony offenses as ordered by an immigration judge.

What bleeding-heart liberals don’t realize is that for every illegal alien like Guadalupe García de Rayos, there are numerous others who are trying to immigrate LEGALLY who get shafted by those who “jump the line.”
Illegal immigration also costs U.S. taxpayers a staggering $113 billion a year.
Studies show many illegals do not pay income taxes but do collect welfare (through their US-born children), so they’re a massive drain on the economy.
Small protests have since erupted outside ICE offices in Phoenix, with protesters trashing Trump’s move to enforce U.S. laws.
But many on Twitter wondered why Rayos should be allowed to continue to flout immigration laws simply because she was able to get away with it for 21 years.

What about person who's social sec number she used & how it hurt them? "Now they're deporting her". Also expect much more like this from NYT

#GuadalupeGarcia is being deported because she committed a felony. and is an illegal alien. Criminality, like elections, has consequences.

Others wondered why Rayos never applied for citizenship the LEGAL way after living on the lam for 21 years.
Now They're Deporting Her? What took them so long? 21 years, and she's still not a citizen. My in-laws became citizens within 3 years…

Others said don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.
Many pointed out the hypocrisy of the left, who said nothing when President Obama deported more illegal aliens than any other president in U.S. history.
