Rosie O’Donnell vies for chance to play top Trump cabinet member on SNL, but it gets even scarier!

In a quest to become relevant again, Rosie O’Donnell is clamoring to portray President Donald Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

In response to comedian Melissa McCarthy playing White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Saturday’s show, a social media user appealed to Trump’s longtime nemesis to “take one for the team.”

And she bit like a fat kid takes to cake.

And to be sure her appeal was not misunderstood, O’Donnell posted the hashtag: #BannoninChief:

The frightening thing about all of this is that NBC is reportedly looking to spin-off a weekday version of “Weekend Update.”

With “Saturday Night Live” viewership up 22 percent in the “Trump era,” which is attributed to Alex Baldwin’s impression of Trump, the network “is in talks to air a 30-minute primetime weekly edition” of the show’s longest-running recurring sketch, Politico reported.

All of which means NBC will need material and people. Even washed up comedians who long ago lost their appeal… assuming they are up to goading Donald Trump.
