‘Obscene to watch’: Former CNN anchor tells Tucker media is ‘absolutely determined’ to take Trump down

Piers Morgan has a message for liberals and they’re not going to like it.

The former CNN anchor, and current Editor-at-large of Daily Mail declared that President Donald Trump won the election “fair and square” and it’s time for the left to move on.

“If you want to try and beat Donald Trump, then do it democratically,” Morgan said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday. “Stop trying to delegitimize him. Stop trying to make every tweet, every statement, every comment he says the Armageddon of the world.”

Morgan, who is no conservative himself,  was “appalled” by the behavior of liberals towards Trump, calling their protesting “one of the great hissy-fits of modern political times.”

He discussed the “war” between the media and the White House which he told host Tucker Carlson is nothing short of dangerous.  The relationship between the President and the media is a “two-way street” which demands that both parties show more respect and honesty, he argued.

Morgan agreed with Trump that some of the mainstream media is “absolutely determined” to take him down,

Some were “in the tank for Hillary Clinton. Their candidate didn’t win and now they are utterly determined to bring the Trump presidency crashing down,’ Morgan said.

“You have a war between the media and the White House, the likes of which I’ve certainly never seen before,” he said, “It’s pretty dangerous all around.”

Carlson asked Morgan about CNN and the “special connection” the network had with the Democratic Party during the election campaign. Morgan defended his former employer but admitted that CNN joined other media outlets in getting more “virulent” in covering Trump during the election.

Morgan blasted the New York Times for its coverage of Trump as a GOP candidate and then nominee, calling it a “complete disgrace” and “in the tank for Hillary Clinton.”

White House releases list of 78 under-reported terror attacks. Why does CNN call that a ‘head-scratcher?’

“I found that, as a journalist, pretty obscene to watch,” he said, adding that it’s now “pretty rich” for the press to blow up at Trump for his attacks on them after the way they have behaved.
