Jesse Watters turns a few heads when he compares Berkeley rioters to ‘Islamist mobs’

Filling in for Bill O’Reilly Friday on “The O’Reilly Factor,” normally wisecracking Fox News host Jesse Watters made a precise comparison between radical left protesters and Islamic mobs.

Commenting on the riot at the University of California, Berkeley, over a conservative speaker appearing on campus, Watters turned a few heads with the spot-on analogy.

“It’s my opinion that liberals on college campuses now resemble Islamist mobs, where they riot over rhetoric,” he said.

Watters pointed to the violent reaction in some Middle East countries when they feel there has been “an affront to Islam.”

“Now, on the left, on college campuses, when liberalism is perceived to be under attack, they riot, they burn things and they hurl expletives,” he said.

Boston Herald columnist Adriana Cohen was quick to agree with Watters on the egregious actions of the rioter, saying they “are thugs and criminals who belong in jail.”

“We see our basic civil liberties, our right to free speech, being trampled on, on college campuses across this country,” Cohen added.
