MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” had nothing but praise for the new show on Fox News Channel’s primetime lineup, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
Host Joe Scarborough observed that Carlson’s “numbers are far outpacing anything Megyn Kelly has ever done over there.”
“He’s doing really well. His numbers are up. Tucker’s doing well,” panelist Willie Geist observed. Geist got his start at MSNBC as a producer for Carlson’s show there, which ran from 2008 to 2008.
“America’s having a love affair with Tucker Carlson,” Mark Halperin agreed.
“He’s very quick and clever,” co-host Mika Brzezinski put in.
“A lot of people were concerned when Megyn Kelly left that the numbers would go down, but they’ve actually gone up,” added Scarborough.
Brzezinski must have realized at that point that they were gushing over a host on a competing cable news network.
“I might add that Rachel’s doing very well as well,” she said, referring to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.
“Oh, Rachel’s doing great!” one chimed in before they veered off on Tucker again.
That’s when Brzezinski cut them off altogether to stop the madness.
Folks on social media weren’t surprised.

Finally, one observed that maybe it’s time for Scarborough to make a change.
