On Martin Luther King Day, MLK Jr.’s niece reveals she voted for Donald Trump

The niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is on the Trump train.

At a time when many Democrats are joining Rep. John Lewis in boycotting President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, Alveda King made her loyalty known in an interview with Fox News on Monday.

“While I voted for Mr. Trump, my confidence remains in God, for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” she said.

King said she holds Rep. Lewis in high regard as he marched alongside her famous uncle and she currently resides in his district and she said she prays that Trump and Lewis will come together.

Bikers for Trump will form ‘wall of meat’ so rioters don’t ruin the inauguration: Bring it, snowflakes!

“I pray that all polar opposites learn to agape love, live and work together as brothers and sisters — or perish as fools,” she said.

Rep. Lewis said in an interview with “Meet The Press” that he didn’t think Trump was a legitimate president-elect and Trump fired back telling Lewis to focus on his “crime infested” district.

“Prayers for President-elect Trump, Congressman Lewis, and everyone including leaders,” she said.
