Trump is slated to receive a briefing from the chiefs of the U.S. intelligence community Friday. The briefing details purported Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election, and was briefed to Obama yesterday. Details of the reports surfaced in several news outlets, including NBC News. U.S. officials told The Washington Post that there are “no major bombshells” in the report.

Trump tweeted his displeasure Thursday night, saying the leak was a political move. He echoed that to The New York Times Friday ahead of his briefing, saying the media firestorm over the hacks is “a political witch-hunt.”
