Politics makes strange bedfellows, particularly if both ‘fellows’ are pretending to be something they’re not.
Consider the recent Twitter bromance between fringe NeverTrump candidate Evan ‘Utah-or-nothing’ McMullin and BLM activist Shaun ‘pigs in a blanket’ King. McMullin pretends to be a principled conservative and King pretends to be a black journalist, but both have agreed to put aside their differences in unity against a common enemy…
Donald Trump.
If you don’t know much about McMullin, this will get you up to speed. Of late, the candidate who couldn’t even finish first or second in the only state he competed in has been busy casting himself on Twitter as the “loyal opposition” of sorts to Trump. Basically, if Trump says or does it, McMullin finds a way to criticize it. And if someone, no matter how far left, hates Trump too, well, they’ve got a friend in McMullin.

Because hypocrisy means nothing when you’re virtue-signaling to liberals. And you get bonus points if said liberal is a BLM activist!

How sweet! I’m sure plenty of our nation’s police appreciate King’s ‘voice’ too, but OK. Let’s stop with the supposed ‘disagreements’ between these two. In truth, there are all kinds of reasons why the forming of this ‘alliance’ actually makes all kinds of sense, and these astute social media posters did a great job pointing it out:
