Actor Patton Oswalt might finally have started to understand why Donald Trump was elected as America’s next president.
It wasn’t Russian hackers, fake news or racism.
It was, in large part, because many Americans have had enough of being badgered by social justice warriors bent on transforming the nation into a liberal dystopia full of people walking on eggshells, afraid to speak for fear of offending someone.

Case in point, actor Steve Martin recently deleted a tweet in which he dared to call the recently deceased “Star Wars” actress Carrie Fisher beautiful because some found it sexist. That was too much for even the ultra-liberal, Trump-hating Oswalt who took a not-so-subtle jab at the hypersensitive leftists:
Huh. SJWs made Steve Martin delete an eloquent Tweet about Carrie Fisher because “male gaze” or something. Still can’t believe Trump won.

It’s a big part of why he won all right. People are sick of it, well, most people.
The comedian’s SJW fans were not happy, and they let him know.
@pattonoswalt You seriously blaming feminists for Trump? I love you, man, but this is really disappointing.

@pattonoswalt Yes, that’s how Trump won—women annoyed people into voting for him. Please.

@pattonoswalt or Steve Martin made a (predictably) out of touch statement and was (rightly) called out for it.

@pattonoswalt Ur such a funny comedian/actor. Please stick to that and leave politics out. It lessens you.

People on the right have been telling him that for years. Welcome to the party.
@pattonoswalt I appreciate your point but please don’t use “social justice warrior” as a pejorative. That’s for the Gamer Gate types.

@pattonoswalt No one made Steve Martin do anything. Blaming oversensitive people on Twitter for Trump’s win is Trump-supporter logic. ?
