RNC forced to clarify Christmas message because Dems insisted it compared Trump to Jesus

Leftist hacks never rest, even on Christmas Day.

RNC chairman Reince Preibus, the incoming White House chief of staff, triggered the mainstream press after releasing a statement wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

The first paragraph outraged hyper-sensitive libs, who claimed Preibus was comparing Donald Trump to Jesus and a king:

Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King.

We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends.

Democratic strategist John Aravosis slammed Preibus and demanded he apologize for “comparing Trump to Jesus.”

John Weaver, an aide to Ohio Governor John Kasich, also piled on, saying “We don’t have a ‘new King.'”

RNC spokesman Sean Spicer, the incoming White House press secretary, clapped back at critics for politicizing Christmas and distorting Preibus’ holiday message.

Others called out the media’s hypocrisy, saying they had treated President Obama like a king for 8 years.

Let’s not forget that Obama was hailed as a “Messiah” and “God of all things” on magazine covers when he first took office. But that’s okay … because he’s a lib.
