New York City’s world famous Rockettes have agreed to preform at the innauguration of President-elect Donald Trump but, at least one, is not happy about it.
Dancer Phoebe Pearl used her Instagram account to express her discontent with having to dance for America’s next president.
“I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” she wrote.
“Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed,” Pearl added.
The dancer is far from alone as many celebrities have pitched a fit over Trump’s election with some performers going so far as to reportedly have a concert in the works to compete with the inauguration.
“The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” Pearl continued in her rant.
“I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident.”
That doesn’t sound like she is only speaking for herself.
Pearl, who has since deleted her whining Instagram post, received an email from her union that informed her the dancers were not allowed to boycott the innauguration, the Daily Mail reported.
Social media was not impressed with Pearl’s tirade.
