It’s getting to where anytime there’s a reported “hate crime,” especially if it supposedly involves Trump supporters, you can bet pretty safe odds that it’ll turn out to be either self-inflicted or a complete hoax.
Remember that black church that burned down in Mississippi a week before the election, purportedly to intimidate voters? After all, the words “Vote Trump” were even eerily painted in white, right below a charred out window.
What else could it have been, right? I mean, doesn’t every white racist worth his salt know that the best way to convince black folks to vote for Donald Trump is to, you know, BURN DOWN THEIR CHURCHES? (Yeah, in case any liberal reading this has lost his or her sarcasm detector – IT’S NOT!)
It was all over the news for a while. The city’s mayor, Errick Simmons said at the time, “It happened in the ’50s, it happened in the ’60s, but we’re in 2016 and that should not happen.” The website Think Progress even raised specters of KKK support for Donald Trump and the supposed “alt-right” connections of then-Trump adviser Steve Bannon.
Well, the case has finally been solved, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody who follows these hoaxes regularly the perpetrator turned out to be Andrew McClinton of Leland, Mississippi, an African-American man.
Leland has been arrested and reportedly will be charged, apparently not with a hate crime or even a minor civil rights violation, but with first-degree arson of a place of worship.
To be sure, there are people who hate out there, of every race, and hate crimes do happen, but it seems like the majority of these lately are self-inflicted “false flags” that, real or not, always get used by liberals to practice their own brand of ethnic guilt and voter intimidation.
The lesson, of course, which should but won’t be learned by the liberal media, is perhaps we should wait for confirmation before assuming the worst.
