‘Faithless Texas elector’ who refuses to vote Trump and claimed to be 9/11 hero exposed as a fraud

No honor and stolen valor.

The Republican elector representing the state of Texas in the Electoral College who gained national attention for his announcement that he will not cast his vote for Donald Trump just got doused with a bucket of ice water.

He was called out for a big fat lie he’s been living for years.

Contrary to his claim to have been a heroic first responder at the Pentagon when it was attacked by a commercial jetliner on September 11, 2001, Chris Suprun, 42, wasn’t even a member of the fire department when al-Qaida launched its onslaught against the United States.

He even used the lie to puff up his credentials when he announced Trump wouldn’t receive his vote when the Electoral College meets on December 21.

“Fifteen years ago, as a firefighter, I was part of the response to the Sept. 11 attacks against our nation,” he claimed at the time.

Local Texas ABC affiliate WFAA Channel 8 News launched an investigation into Suprun’s background

The station reported:

He has founded a nonprofit called Never Forget and state records show he is a licensed paramedic — but much of the rest of résumé, publicly available on LinkedIn, is questionable.

In addition, on at least two occasions over the last couple years at crowded Major League Baseball games, Suprun has been introduced as a 9/11 veteran before throwing out first pitches.

“He claimed to be a first responder with the Manassas Park [Virginia] Fire Department on September 11, 2001 and personally told us stories ‘I was fighting fire that day at the Pentagon.’ No, I was on a medic unit that day at the Pentagon and you make a phone call to Manassas Park and you find out that he wasn’t even employed there until October 2001,” said a first responder who knows Suprun.

Not only did the City of Manassas Park confirm that he wasn’t hired until a month after the terrorist attack, but its fire chief told the station that they didn’t respond to the Pentagon or any other 9/11 site.

“It’s no different than stolen valor for the military; dressing up and saying ‘Hey, I earned a Purple Heart’ when you weren’t even in combat. There’s a big difference between shopping at Old Navy and being a Navy SEAL,” said the first responder who knows him.

Suprun cited a string of complains against Trump to justify withholding his vote from the president-elect.

“Mr. Trump goes out of his way to attack the cast of ‘Saturday Night Live’ for bias,” he says. “He does not encourage civil discourse, but chooses to stoke fear and create outrage … Mr. Trump urged violence against protesters at his rallies during the campaign. He speaks of retribution against his critics.”

Now the president-elect can throw one right back against Suprun — he’s a liar and a thief.
