Liberals have found a new scapegoat for last month’s phenomenal loss at the polls — longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
In a piece published Wednesday in “Vanity Fair” titled “Huma vs. the Night Stalkers,” campaign insiders were given the chance to pour their venom out at Abedin.
“Maybe I’m just pissed off, but I really don’t give a s**t about what happens to Huma to be honest with you,” a close Clinton advisor told the publication.
That advisor even took issue with Abedin standing alongside Clinton at a rope line as she greeted disappointed supporters after the election results were announced.
“You’re staff, O.K.?” this adviser continued. “Staff is staff. You’re not a principal.”
Some believed that Abedin was getting a bit too star-struck and addicted to the attention she was receiving, and in the process shutting others out.
“She was enjoying the red carpet and enjoying the photo spreads much too much in my opinion,” one Clinton insider said. “She enjoyed being a celebrity too much.”
The advisor suggested that Abedin and others in the Clinton “inner circle” may have suffocated the candidate and prevented her from being open to outside counsel.
“The real anger is toward Hillary’s inner circle,” the Clinton insider said. “They reinforced all the bad habits.”
One such “bad habit” was not making an effort to appear more affable by making more appearances on popular shows like “The View.”
That proposal “was either regarded as an intrusion or a naïve suggestion or maybe someone has an agenda. And so people just stopped bothering. Where in most presidential campaigns the circle grows broader and broader, hers grew smaller and smaller.”
Folks on social media saw this as more of the same from the Clinton camp — blame everything and everyone but the flawed candidate herself.

@kaitlancollins Just another way to deflect blame from Clinton. Swear to god she’s going to be the Dem nominee again in 2020.
