‘You need a padded room, sir!’ Melodramatic Keith Olbermann goes FULL crazy over Russia-Trump ‘coup’

There’s been a lot of history making lately, and uber-liberal Keith Olbermann just made more with what could easily be argued as the most over-the-top freak out in political pundit history.

The host of GQ’s “The Resistance with Keith Olbermann” went completely off the rails on Tuesday, firing off a torrent of warnings and orders while lambasting possible Russian interference with the recent presidential election.

Repeatedly taking aim at president-elect Donald Trump and the Republican Party for supposedly being a part of a Russian “coup” to defeat Hillary Clinton, Olbermann pulls out all the stops to scare his followers into action.

Olbermann dramatically begins his montage with a statement no Democrat, including Obama, would have dared to say even a few months ago.

“We’re at war with Russia!”

“Or, perhaps more correctly, we have lost a war with Russia … We are no longer a sovereign nation, we are no longer a democracy, we are no longer a free people,” a shaking Olbermann continued. “We are the victims of a bloodless coup.”

The coup, Olbermann claims, was engineered by Russia with “at best, the traitorous indifference of the Republican Party and Donald John Trump!”

Olbermann then warns his viewers that unless “desperate measures are taken” the United States will hand over the government to a man the Russians won the election for.

His bizarre rant only amps up from there, ending with Olbermann demanding his viewers “resist.”

Try as he might, Olbermann didn’t exactly get the reaction he was hoping for on Twitter:

And lest we forget when Obama was caught on hot mic trying to cozy up to Russia. “This is my last election. After my election I’ll have more flexibility,” President Obama implored.

And then there was that time when former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney warned Americans about Russia, and Obama and his fans had a great big laugh about the whole thing.

An arrogant Obama accused Romney and those who agreed with him as being stuck in a “Cold War mind warp.”

And now Olbermann is saying Russia’s been at war with the U.S. this whole time – and it’s Trump’s fault?

It’s no wonder Olbermann is not getting a lot of respect for his tirade:
