Vice President Joe Biden rolled back on his comments he was considering a presidential bid in 2020, telling reporters Wednesday he has no plans to run.
Following what is expected to be the last time Biden will preside over the Senate, he told reporters he doesn’t see himself throwing his hat in the ring.
“I have no intention of running,” he said.
Following the House Democrats caucus meeting Monday, Biden said he was considering
“I’m going run in 2020. What the hell,” he told reporters. “I’m not committing not to run. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening,”
Despite being encouraged to run by top donors, Biden decided not to seek the 2016 Democratic nomination after losing his son, Beau Biden, to brain cancer in May.
