Texas-based “Fixer Upper” reality TV star Chip Gaines took an extraordinary step Saturday in response to the liberal media outlets that have targeted him and wife Joanna for their Christian beliefs and choice of churches to attend.
…a step sure to infuriate the left even more because it serves to reinforce those very Christian values.
Gaines took to Twitter to ask supporters to respect BuzzFeed reporter Kate Aurthur, who “broke” the story that the Gaines family goes to a church that doesn’t support same-sex marriage, and Cosmopolitan “night editor” Gina Mei, who helped lead the secular charge against his family.

Chip Gaines’ overture did not go unnoticed, with The Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher noting that this is how one “puts Christian beliefs into practice.”
This is a good man. And I hope those two appreciate that he puts his Christian beliefs into practice. https://t.co/ww9rFLBnde

@chippergaines Stand firm in what you believe. Better to live for God and be judged by man than live for man and be judged by God.

@chippergaines and this is why I respect you so much. Your family is in my prayers. I’m sorry that the world is so cruel and ugly. ❤️
