The demise of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro has generated responses from all over the world.
There were celebrations in the streets of Miami and cult-like praise from the mainstream media for the despot, but President-elect Donald Trump’s response was succinct and straight to the point.
Fidel Castro is dead!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 26, 2016
Later he issued a stronger, and longer, statement.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence added a tweet of his own.
The tyrant #Castro is dead. New hope dawns. We will stand with the oppressed Cuban people for a free and democratic Cuba. Viva Cuba Libre!

Many on social media shared his sentiments and celebratory tone.
