Murderous communist dictator Fidel Castro died Friday at the age of 90.

Cuban President Raul Castro, the tyrant’s brother, announced the death on Cuban TV:

Within minutes of the late night announcement, Miami’s Little Havana, home to so many who lost so much at the hands of Castro, erupted in celebration.

More from the N.Y. Post:

Thousands of people banged pots with spoons, waved Cuban flags in the air and whooped in jubilation on Calle Ocho — 8th Street, and the heart of the neighborhood — early Saturday. Honking and strains of salsa music from car stereos echoed against stucco buildings, and fireworks lit up the humid night sky.

Police blocked off streets leading to Cafe Versailles, the quintessential Cuban-American hotspot where strong cafecitos — sweetened espresso — were as common as a harsh word about Fidel Castro.

“Cuba si! Castro no!” they chanted, while others screamed “Cuba libre!”

“The day that the people, both inside the island and out, have waited for has arrived: A tyrant is dead and a new beginning can dawn on the last remaining communist bastion of the Western Hemisphere,” Cuban-born Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-FL., said in a statement.
