President-elect Donald Trump ‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is getting a lot of extra attention.
After being vandalized last month, the star is “back to its glory” and “getting secret service like protection,” according to TMZ.

The round the clock protection comes after the star was restored following an attack by a man wielding a sledgehammer last month. The suspect, James Otis, was charged with felony vandalism and faces three years in jail.
The Los Angeles Police Department will reportedly provide 24-hour protection with officers on foot patrol in the area, according to TMZ. There will also be vehicle patrol as well as a camera trained on the star, which is located on Hollywood Blvd. near a shopping mall.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the Walk of Fame, blocked off the new star with barricades and protective tape, according to TMZ.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman, however, dismissed the TMZ report of dedicated police protection for the star, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“We always have patrol in the area,” he said. “There are no officers dedicated to guarding his star. The officers in the area always make sure they are visible.”
