Score one for Piers Morgan versus keyboard warrior Charles Blow.
Blow, an op-ed columnist and social justice warrior for the New York Times, slammed Donald Trump after the president-elect visited the NYT offices on Tuesday, saying he was glad he avoided the meeting (way to keep an open mind, Chuck! Excellent “journalism.”).
“I will say proudly and happily that I was not present at this meeting,” Blow bloviated. “The very idea of sitting across the table from a demagogue who preyed on racial, ethnic and religious hostilities and treating him with decorum and social grace fills me with disgust, to the point of overflowing. Let me tell you here where I stand on your ‘I hope we can all get along’ plea: Never.”
Former CNN anchor Piers Morgan smacked Charles Blow down on Twitter, calling him “gutless” for not having the cojones to say that to Trump’s face, when he had the chance:
Strong words, just might have been more courageous to say them to Trump's face when he went to NYT offices.
Bit gutless doing it after, no? https://t.co/W1Lb3GcQAS— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 24, 2016
A furious Blow angrily responded to Morgan: “F*** you Piers. How’s that for strong words?”

Like the only adult in the room, Morgan tweeted of Blow: “Very convenient for a keyboard warrior. He should have been in the room, saying it to Trump’s face.”
Morgan added: “He’s just hit peak Clintonite fury at Trump’s win and needs to calm down.”

No, I know Charles & like him. He's just hit peak Clintonite fury at Trump's win & needs to calm down. https://t.co/dW1YsS6FSX

Morgan also pointed out that while almost the entire New York Times staff wrote vicious anti-Trump articles during the past year and a half, not one of them confronted the brash billionaire when they had the chance (instead, Trump was greeted with applause and selfie requests),
I see. And how many fearless NYT hacks told him that when he went to their office? Ah yes, that would be none. https://t.co/J9NtUyR4ND

Blow, who has repeatedly called Trump and his supporters racist, did not reply to Morgan’s last tweet.
And Morgan continued to call out Blow and the New York Times, saying they have been “abusing Trump all year” with their “very poor, self-defeating partisan journalism.” (Oh snap!! ? Burn! ?)
Charles & the NYT have been abusing Trump all year. Just helped him win. Very poor, self-defeating partisan journalism. https://t.co/rIq0Crc40N

Morgan’s comments are right-on. Charles Blow seems obsessed with Donald Trump. Most of his blog posts analyze ad nauseum Trump’s every move and word.
Blow even gleefully boasted on Twitter of his latest Trump post: “I just wanted to thank everyone for making my column the #1 trending story at @nytimes.”
Makes you wonder: What would Blow do without Trump?
