Another celeb comes out in support of Trump – could this be part of a trend?

While she had remained out of the political scene during the 2016 election season, Paris Hilton revealed that she did vote for President-Elect Donald Trump.

“I’ve known him since I’m a little girl, so, yes,” she responded when asked about her presidential pick on Australia’s Channel Ten’s “The Project.”

Trump has been a longtime friend of the Hilton family and the 35 year-old heiress confirmed her vote after a giggle and some laughter from the audience.

Hilton’s book, “Confessions of an Heiress,” features a quote on the back from the future president, which Hilton says she finds “amazing” now that he won the election.

“I’ve known him my entire life,” she said, “He’s always been incredibly supportive of me.”

Hilton was also asked about running for office herself.

“Sounds good I like the ring to that,” she responded. “‘President Paris.’ I like that.”

Why not? After all, she did launch a “Paris for President” campaign in 2008.

Whether it’s Tom Hanks’ well wishes for Donald Trump, Kanye’s confession that he wished he’d have voted for him, or Jon Stewart’s recent defense of Trump supporters, some surprising celebrities have slowly been trickling out to support Trump, or his voters, in one way or another.

And now trend-setting Paris Hilton can be added to the list. We’ll see if it sticks.
