Donald Trump‘s election to the White House has prompted Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to vow that she will never give up the bench.

“Saturday Night Live‘s” Kate McKinnon traded in her signature role as Hillary Clinton to make this announcement as the 83-year-old associate justice on the show’s “Weekend Update” segment.
She said that Trump’s election spoiled her plans to retire to the Dominican Republic.
“The bench is now my porch,” McKinnon-Ginsburg said. “I’m going to sit on it all day and scream, ‘No! Get out of my yard!’”
Ginsburg is perhaps the high court’s most liberal justice, and the president-elect vowed to appoint only conservatives to the bench during his tenure.
“Update” anchor Colin Jost asked how long she felt she could continue.
“Oh, forever, Colin,” Ginsburg replied. “I’m eating an apple a day to keep Ben Carson away.”
McKinnon-Ginsburg also took a shot at NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick — who made headlines by sitting out — then taking a knee — during the national anthem and who sat out the presidential elections.
“I guess this guy takes a knee on everything!” she quipped.
Jost offered what he thought would be a ray of hope to her, and said that some people claim Trump would be impeached before his first term is over.
“Oh great,” she replied. “Then we’ll get Pence and gay people can’t get a pizza guy.”
