If you say something that a conservative disagrees with he’ll engage you in a friendly debate. Say something to which a liberal takes issue and he’ll go ballistic.
That was brought home this week in Denver when someone objected to a sign — a large one supporting the Republican presidential nominee — and decided to show his displeasure by setting it ablaze.
And he damned near burned down the entire neighborhood in thew process, according to Denver CBS affiliate KCNC Channel 4 News.

So far no suspect has been identified.
The Donald Trump sign was posted at the rear of Denver resident John Case’s home, and after it was set on fire, flames quickly consumed the brush surrounding it. At that point a passing police officer on an unrelated call noticed the blaze, called it in and attempted to douse it on his own.
Firefighters arrived within minutes and put it out.
“We felt like it was a message to us because whoever did had to know we were home,” Case told the station.
“It’s disappointing … every citizen has a right to express their views without retaliation,” he added.
With only a week remaining before the election, he said he doesn’t plan to replace the sign.
“Out of respect for our neighbors I don’t want to invite someone to threaten our neighbors with a fire.”
The late William F. Buckley once observed that “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”
That was then. Nowadays they’re more than merely “shocked and offended.” They’re certifiably crazy.
