Megyn Kelly burns Roger Ailes in new book with late addition of sordid sex allegations

In a last-minute addition to her new book Fox News star Megyn Kelly claimed former CEO Roger Ailes sexually harassed her repeatedly and hinted that she might be fired for rejecting his advances.

This is Kelly’s first public comments on the matter since Ailes was ousted from Fox, but it was reported that Kelly did speak to investigators and told them of Ailes unwanted advances after Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit.

Not long after the lawsuit several other women came forward to allege similar behavior.

Now, in her new memoir “Settle For More,” Kelly declared Ailes harassment started when she first started working for the network at its Washington bureau in 2005.

She said Ailes offered to advance her career in “exchange for sexual favors.”

“There was a pattern to his behavior. I would be called into Roger’s office, he would shut the door, and over the next hour or two, he would engage in a kind of cat-and-mouse game with me—veering between obviously inappropriate sexually charged comments (e.g. about the ‘very sexy bras’ I must have and how he’d like to see me in them) and legitimate professional advice,” she wrote according to a copy of the book obtained by Radar Online.

Kelly said the advances got worse in 2006 when he “crossed a new line — trying to grab me repeatedly and kiss me on the lips” and when she pushed him away from her “he asked me an ominous question: ‘When is your contract up?’ And then, for the third time, he tried to kiss me.”

According to Kelly the harassment ended after about six months after she reported him to a supervisor but when the opportunity arose to speak to investigators when Carlson fied her lawsuit she did so because “what if — God forbid — he was still doing it to someone?”

But at the same time Ailes asked several people at the network, including her, to vouch for him.

“I was approached several times, and several times I refused,” she purportedly wrote. “There was no way I was going to lie to protect him.”
