Ever wonder if Rubio would’ve defeated Hillary? Pollster Frank Luntz has the numbers…

By at least one look at the numbers, it is being said that Florida Senator Marco Rubio would be trouncing Hillary Clinton right now if he had won the GOP nomination for president instead of Donald Trump. And at the very least, it was previously revealed that team Clinton thought Marco was their most feared GOP opponent.

On her “2016 The Choice” Internet show, Yahoo News anchor Katie Couric spoke to Republican pollster Frank Luntz and he noted that according to his reading of the polls Rubio would be at least eight points ahead of Hillary right now.

Luntz’ claim fits well with the reports that Hillary’s campaign feared facing Marco Rubio in a general election.

The pollster also said that Rubio isn’t the only GOP candidate that would have been doing well against Hillary. He said Ohio Governor John Kasich would be at an even greater 12 points ahead of Hillary right now if he had won the nomination and even the media’s other most hated candidate, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, would be at least dead even with Hillary and in good shape to win it all.

“It is possible,” Luntz told Couric, “that the Republicans nominated the one candidate who accurately captured the mood of more than half of America, but could not translate that to a vote to himself on Election Day.”

Luntz also said that as far as he is concerned Trump has waged the worst campaign in U.S. presidential history.

He also couldn’t believe that Trump has so badly failed to get voters to understand how the WikiLeaks email releases prove how corrupt Hillary is.

“Every day, there’s another batch of emails, and every day, we learn more about what she has done,” Luntz said. “No one knows about it, because he speaks so loudly that all the cameras are on him, removing the oxygen in the room that should also be about her.”

Luntz also said he thinks Trump has lost undecided, independents, and Democrats that could cross over the aisle.

“Not only did he not win them over,” Luntz concluded, “he actually turned them off because his language is wrong; his presentation is wrong.”

On the other hand, Trump is the unconventional non-establishment candidate no one saw coming. And especially after today’s news, all bets are off.
