When GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence was told that former secretary of state Colin Powell, who calls himself a Republican, was planning to vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton, his only reaction was laughter.
That’s nothing new with Powell.
Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked Pence if the campaign was planning an October surprise in the closing days of the campaign.

The Indiana governor told Fox News host Megyn Kelly that the message for the GOP in this election is “It’s time for Republicans to come home.”

“Gen. Colin Powell is not coming home,” Kelly remarked at about the three-minute mark. She observed that Powell, who has been critical of Hillary Clinton’s cavalier handling of her State Department emails, announced that he’ll nonetheless be casting his vote for the Democratic presidential nominee.
“It wouldn’t be the first time I disagreed with Gen. Powell,” Pence said and then chuckled.

“If memory serves, he supported Barack Obama eight years ago,” he said and continued to laugh. “So I’m not really sure it’s particularly newsworthy that he’s supporting another Democrat for the White House.
