WikiLeaks: Hillary camp worked on ‘Trump swift-boat’ attack for months, ‘Miss Universe’ ready and waiting

A new release of John Podesta’s purported emails from Wikileaks showed that Hillary Clinton’s campaign planned a “swift-boat” style attack against Donald Trump since at least February. And that attack included Miss Universe Alicia Machado for months before her allegations became public.

“I know you can’t look past Bernie and March primaries — but who is in charge of the Trump swift boat project? Needs to be ready, funded and unleashed when we decide — but not a half assed scramble,” Joel Johnson, of the strategic communications firm Glover Park Group, wrote to Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri. famous for mocking Catholics in another email.

“Gee. Thanks, Joel. We thought we could half-ass it. Let’s discuss,” Palmeri wrote back sarcastically.

The phrase “swift-boating” comes from the 2004 presidential campaign in which a group of veterans called the “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth” which questioned the military service of, and claims made by then Sen. John Kerry, who was the opponent of President George W. Bush, during the Vietnam War.

Since then the phrase swiftboating refers to an “unfair or untrue political attack,” using information from an opponent’s past, according to Wikipedia which, despite what Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee thinks, is not related to Wikileaks.

Reportedly included in the attack was a dossier on Trump’s interactions with women, including former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, titled “Trump Has Devalued And Demeaned Women Repeatedly Throughout His Career,” and emailed to Podesta by research director Tony Caark.

The file, that also included research on Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, wrote about Machado on page 31 under the heading “Trump On Miss Universe Pageant Winner” and quotes his words to a talk show regarding Machado.

“She weighed 118 pounds, or 117 pounds, and she went up to 160 or 170,” Trump said on “This Morning.” “So this is somebody that likes to eat,” it said in the email that dated back to Dec. 2015. Two months before the primaries even started.

A coordinated attack would explain why the onslaught seems perfectly timed to benefit Clinton.
