When Sen. Elizabeth Warren called Hillary Clinton’s supporters “nasty women” it was meant as a compliment.
The Massachusetts Democrat was attempting to attack Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump who called Clinton a “nasty woman” in the last presidential debate.
“I’ve got news for you Donald Trump!” Warren said at a rally for the Democratic presidential nominee in Manchester, New Hampshire on Monday. “Women have had it with guys like you. And nasty woman have really had it with guys like you.”
“Get this, Donald: Nasty women are tough. Nasty women are smart and nasty women vote,” she continued, as Clinton sat laughing and applauding on the platform.
“On November 8, we nasty women are going to march our nasty feet to cast our nasty votes to get you out of our lives forever,” she said as the crowd cheered.
Trump has not called Warren as a nasty woman but has repeatedly referred to her as “Pocahontas” for falsifying her family history as a Native American.
