Donald Trump’s campaign offered an “ethics reform plan” in response to documents released Monday by the FBI that appears to prove one of Hillary Clinton’s top aides at the State Department, Patrick Kennedy, purportedly offered a deal to the FBI in exchange for the bureau agreeing to reclassify documents to protect Clinton, a “quid pro quo” as described by an FBI agent.
Trump denounced the revelation on Monday in the video clip seen below, saying it “shows corrupt at the highest levels.”

CROOKED HILLARY QUESTION OF THE DAY
Will Hillary Clinton Promise To Ban Patrick Kennedy From A Potential Administration Job?
QUESTION OF THE DAY: “Secretary Clinton, yesterday it was reported that one of your top aides at the State Department, Patrick Kennedy, ‘pressured’ the FBI to downgrade the classification of one of your emails, calling it a ‘quid pro quo.’ Given this blatant attempt to subvert security rules, can you guarantee that Kennedy will not hold any position in your administration should you win the presidency?” – Jason Miller, Senior Communications Advisor
WHY IT MATTERS
Top Clinton Aide Patrick Kennedy “‘Pressured’ The FBI To Downgrade The Classification Of One Of Hillary Clinton’s Emails As Part Of A ‘Quid Pro Quo’” Last Year. “A top State Department official allegedly ‘pressured’ the FBI to downgrade the classification of one of Hillary Clinton’s emails as part of a ‘quid pro quo,’ according to documents released by the bureau on Monday. … In the interview, the unnamed official says that Patrick Kennedy, undersecretary of state for management, tried in late June or early July of last year to get the FBI to change a classified email to unclassified, in exchange for the State Department allowing the FBI to place agents in more countries.” (Nolan D. McCaskill, “State Dept. Official Accused Of Offering ‘Quid Pro Quo’ In Clinton Email Scandal,” Politico, 10/17/16)
