CNN’s Brooke Baldwin thought she was going to make Donald Trump look stupid but the egg was left on her face in a mega fail.
During her show on Tuesday Baldwin learned that Trump announced he would push for a “Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress.”
The host announced this to her panel, and viewers, and tried to take a swipe at the Republican presidential candidate.
“Correct me,” she said with a smug look on her face. “There already are term limits, so what does he mean?”
CNN correspondent Dana Bash obliged the request and did correct her, while doing her best to not make Baldwin look as stupid as she sounded.
“Right, well there are term limits on the presidency,” Bash said. “And one of the big debates for some time has been whether or not the fact that there are no term limits on Congress, whether that helps to breed corruption.”
Talk about a backfire.
