Check your privilege: Academic study preaches pumpkin latte is actually a covert racist drink

More evidence that the inmates are running the asylums also known as college campuses is pouring in at rapid speed.

This time, the victim of the almighty, self-riotous, and blind to common sense academia is the pumpkin spice latte often sold by Starbucks.

According to a study the fall favorite is more than just an assault on your wallet – it’s actually a covert racist drink.

That’s right – the pumpkin spice latte has been deemed “too white.”

The shocking finding was highlighted by Fox News’ Brit Hume during “On the Record with Brit Hume” Monday night.

“Pumpkins are a racial issue and pumpkin spice lattes are a symbol of white privilege,” Hume reported.

The article titled, “The Perilous Whiteness of Pumpkins” asks questions like “Why did pumpkin spice lattes become the symbol of basic white girlness?” according to Hume.

Um, maybe because they think they taste good?

Even innocent squash is considered racist (and possibly sexist?) by those influencing young minds in today’s America.

So next time you go and order your favorite fall drink keep that in mind. Perhaps just sticking to water served in a gray cup with a side of guilt is your safest bet.
