The architect of Obamacare thinks Republicans should be blamed for problems with the health care law.
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel credited the GOP and Senator Marco Rubio in particular for creating the problems that have plagued the Affordable Care Act.

“Republicans bear some of the responsibility for this,” he told Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly Wednesday on “The Kelly File.”
“Remember, Marco Rubio eliminated some of the risk adjustment that actually buffered and helped the insurance companies in this situation. He took it out of the budget. And that is a serious problem.” he continued. “There is not plenty of blame [to go around], it is Republicans.”
“You are the architect of the law, sir,” Kelly countered. “Let’s start with you. When I get Marco Rubio here, we’ll talk to him. You’re the architect. You said it was going to be stable, and what we’re hearing today from the chief executive of the national association of health underwriters is: In many states, the individual market is ‘in a shamble.’ Shambles, not stable.”
But Emanuel, brother of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, was not letting up.
“One of the things we built into the law was various ways of providing risk corridors and risk adjustment, so insurers would be protected against getting too many sick people, which is the heart of the problem. Marco Rubio, in the senate, took that away and destabilized the market. When I told you two years ago it was going to be a stable market, those risk protections were in place. And the Republicans took it away… Republicans bear a major responsibility!”
And if his finger-pointing wasn’t enough, Emanuel had also denied that premiums were going up, despite what everyone has been saying.

The “architect” even had a plan to repair the problems in ObamaCare: increase tax penalties for those who refuse coverage.
Obamacare architect Ezekiel Emanuel told Megyn Kelly tonight Dems (Clinton) plan 2 increase penalty if u refuse coverage (that’s extortion).

@foxandfriends Not one Republican voted for Obamacare. Obama promoted it, the Democrats in House and Senate passed it. They own it!

@foxandfriends liberals struggle to understand their own policy failures so they must blame GOP, the plans seem so good in a utopian mind

@foxandfriends they messed up the insurance market and their solution to keep premiums down is for the government to subsidize it!

@foxandfriends So is Zeke really saying that the Dems wanted an insurance company bailout and are mad at the GOP for blocking it?
