Guy in gorilla suit ‘all lives matter’ shirt storms Bears game, ‘racist’ Trump supporter blamed until BIG reveal

Fans attending an NFL game between the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago got a little extra entertainment that was not on the bill — as in watching a guy in a gorilla suit dash onto the field.

Wearing an “All Lives Matter” t-shirt — score one for the good guys — the man was able to pick up more than 25 yards before security converged on him. In a fine display of gang tackling, five security members pounced on the man after he slid to a stop.

There was no penalty for hitting a player who gives himself up by sliding feet first as it was not clear if the gorilla was a quarterback.

In such polarizing times in America, it didn’t take long for some to try to use the stunt to disparage GOP nominee Donald Trump. After all, the guy underneath the gorilla suit is surely a racist.

…except it was a black man:

For the record, the hometown Bears prevailed in a low scoring game, 17-14. But there was plenty of extra scoring on social media in response to the incident.

Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
