Formerly ‘dead broke’ couple just picked up their THIRD house for $1.16 million

Bill and Hillary Clinton just proved again how much they are just like regular Americans.

The couple just shelled out a reported $1.16 million for their third house, buying the house next door to their current home in New York.

The three-bedroom, ranch-style home boasts 3,631 square feet of space and sits on 1.51 acres on Old House Lane in Chappaqua which is in the town of New Castle, the New York Post reported.

The home also includes a 212 square-foot basement, which should provide ample room for housing email servers should the Democratic presidential nominee need it.

“Rumor has it that the Clintons plan to use this as a mother/daughter house for Chelsea and her kids to visit on the weekends when they want to escape the city and their Flatiron digs since the Chappaqua house has a nice pool and plenty of rolling green lawn for kids to play on,” a source told the Post.

Not too shabby.

“The Secret Service closed off [part] of the Old House Lane cul-de-sac, so no one can just drive in like it was open before,” the source said. “Now you can’t get close to it anymore. Now they have a little compound.”

The tax bill for the little compound is $28,790 a year, according to the Post.

Social media users weighed in on the news on Twitter, speculating on the reasons why the Clintons bought the home and why now.
