Donald Trump is making pro-lifers an offer they’ll have a tough time refusing.
In an open letter to pro-life leaders nationwide, the Trump campaign highlighted Hillary Clinton’s extreme pro-abortion stances, including her support for partial birth and taxpayer-funded abortions.
She doesn’t even try to hide her extremism. When asked on Meet the Press when unborn children have constitutional rights, Clinton bluntly responded, “The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.” She is so committed to this view that she proclaimed in a speech that “religious beliefs… have to be changed” in order to advance her abortion agenda.
The letter made four key promises “to advance the rights of unborn children and their mothers.” They include:
1.) Nominating pro-life justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.
2.) Signing into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would end painful late-term abortions nationwide.
3.) Defunding Planned Parenthood as long as they continue to perform abortions, and reallocating their funding to community health centers that provide comprehensive health care for women.
4.) Making the Hyde Amendment permanent law to protect taxpayers from having to pay for abortions.
With the 1973 Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision the country’s established law for decades, these strong measures on the part of the Executive Branch would be a tremendous step in the right direction for the pro-life movement.
