New York City rocked by intentional explosion in Chelsea; see photos and video

At least 29 people were injured in an explosion that rocked the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City Saturday night.

Hours after the first explosion, a secondary device in the form of a pressure cooker was found blocks away, CNN reported.

A device at a second location in Chelsea appears to be a pressure cooker with dark-colored wiring coming out of the top center of the device. The device, mentioned earlier by police, is connected by silver duct tape to a small dark-colored device attached to the outside of the pressure cooker, according to multiple local and federal law enforcement officials.

Social media documented the bombing extensively with pictures and video.

“Tonight, New York City experienced a very bad incident,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said during a press conference. “We have no credible and specific threat at this moment.”

He admitted that the explosion was the result of an “intentional act” but somehow he said he did “not see a link to terrorism.”

Both presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, weighed in within hours.

“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York and nobody knows exactly what’s going on,” Trump said at a rally in Colorado Springs.

“But boy, we are living in a time — we better get very tough, folks. We better get very, very tough. We’ll find out. It’s a terrible thing that’s going on in our world, in our country and we are going to get tough and smart and vigilant,” he said adding “We’ll see what it is. ”

Clinton used her remarks, in which many said she appeared to be heavily medicated, to take aim at Trump.

“I’ve been briefed about the bombings in New York and New Jersey and the attack in Minnesota. Obviously we need to do everything we can to support our first responders,” she told the press travelling with her. “I’ll have more to say about it when we actually know some facts.”

The New York explosion occurred on the same night a stabbing attack with multiple victims took place in a Minnesota mall and followed another bombing hours before at a military charity race in New Jersey.
