‘She could barely climb the podium steps’: Leaked Colin Powell emails about Hillary’s health back in 2015

With all the emphasis on Hillary Clinton’s health — deservedly so given recent events — a leaked email from former secretary of state Colin Powell shows that her health was a topic of discussion among top-tier political figures as far back as March of 2015.

Among the hacked emails leaked by D.C. Leaks, an anonymously managed website that publishes documents hacked from military leaders and political figures, was an exchange between Powell and major Democratic donor Jeffrey Leeds, who noted that Clinton struggled to climb podium steps.

Along with the revelation that the Clintons hate Barack Obama — old news — The Intercept’s Lee Fang posted the remarks about Clinton’s health:

“Sheldon Whitehouse, who is a huge Clinton supporter, said they were both giving speeches at the same event a few months back and she could barely climb the podium steps,” Leeds wrote.

Powell responded with what seemed to be a show of empathy.

Powell went on to talk about Clinton’s hectic schedule, which included flying from the East Coast to San Francisco for a “paid gig at E-Bay” and a “money dinner for the Clinton Foundation,” and then back the next day.

“… She will turn 70 her first year in office,” Powell added, apparently convinced that she will prevail in the November election.

That Clinton appeared to be running herself ragged in pursuit of the almighty dollar didn’t seem to faze Powell.

Fang also shared intimate details on Powell’s relationship with Leeds:
