Libs focus on Colin Powell calling Trump a ‘national disgrace’ . . . now here’s the part they buried

While he didn’t sound thrilled over the concept, former secretary of state Colin Powell was a Donald Trump guy during the heated Republican primary.

That revelation was included in some of the 30,000 emails published online by DC Leaks after Powell’s personal email account was hacked, The Daily Caller reported.

Powell was asked in a February 24 email who he would “strategically” vote for if he wanted the GOP to win in November, with the stipulation that this choice may be “different than who you want to see as president.”

“Strategically at this point I deeply regret to say Trump has the best, but hopefully, slim chance,” Powell replied. “None of the others remaining can approach Hillary.”

Interestingly, The Daily Caller noted that Powell was not aware he had been hacked until they contacted him for comment. The online news source also reported: “The hacked emails reveal some people close to Powell expect him to endorse Clinton before the Nov. 8 election.”

That would be consistent with an email he sent in June to Emily Miller, a journalist and former aide to Powell, in which he called Trump a “national disgrace” and an “international pariah.”

He also said the GOP nominee “is in the process of destroying himself” … a familiar refrain heard often during the primary that has yet to come to fruition.
