Muslim counterterrorism sergeant blows whistle on her own: Muslim extremist cops are going unchecked

A London, England female police officer attacked the department over its “political correctness” in failing to deal with the extremist views of some of its Muslim officers out of fear of being labeled “Islamophobic.”

While that sentiment may not be especially unusual, what is unusual is the complaining officer, who worked in Scotland Yard’s counterterrorism division, is herself a practicing Muslim.

“My experiences were that it was Muslim officers being racist towards my individual views; also in private, holding racist views against white officers, and sexist views against females,” Javaria Saeed said to the Sunday Times. “If such views were held and expressed by white officers, they would be fired.”

Some examples cited by Saeed, 35, came from a Muslim constable who claimed that female genital mutilation, which is illegal in England, was a “clean an honorable practice” that “shouldn’t be criminalized.”

That same officer told Saeed that female domestic violence victims shouldn’t be be able to seek help from the police except in “serious violent cases.” They should appeal instead to sharia courts.

Saeed eventually resigned from the force when she reported these comments to her supervisors and they failed to act on them.

“Racism in the Met is not from white officers, in my case, but from Muslim officers who the service refused to properly investigate because they were afraid of being called Islamophobic and racist,” she added.

Not only did her superiors fail to take action, she was told that making complaints against Muslim officers would “hinder” her future advancement.

Saeed told The Times that there was a double standard at the Metropolitan Police force — one set of standards for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. And the only difficulty she experienced there was with the Muslims, which number some 600.

“Racism in the Met is not from white officers in my case, but from Muslim officers who the service refused to properly investigate because they were afraid of being called Islamophobic and racist,” said Saeed.

We know — we’re beginning to experience the same thing in the United States.
