Angry mom of convicted Sailor who tried using ‘Hillary defense’ wants to see Hillary… face-to-face

Hillary Clinton famously got off from charges she violated national security when the FBI director decided she didn’t “intend” to break the law with her illegal email server. Well, one Sailor who was charged with the exact same type of offense was convicted quite despite the fact HE didn’t “intend” to break any laws and now that sailor’s mom is demanding a meeting with Hillary.

Of course, the fact is, Hillary Clinton did break our national security laws. There is no doubt about this fact. But for whatever reason, FBI Director James Comey decided to destroy his reputation and let Hillary off the hook in a purely political move. Many have said if Hillary could be let off the hook over her supposed lack of “intentions” to break the law, why shouldn’t everyone else who is charged with violating national security?

What’s becoming known as the “Hillary defense” was invoked by a sailor who took photos of the inside of a Navy submarine. He claimed he only wanted to keep the images for himself and never made any move to sell them to an enemy.

“These photographs were taken seven years ago by a young man who was looking to take photographs to have some mementos that he could show his kids where he worked on the sub,” the sailor’s attorney said.

But intentions don’t matter since the controls inside the vessel are classified and taking photos is illegal.

Still, since he didn’t “intend” to break national security, Petty Officer 1st Class Kristian Saucier wondered why he should be punished when Hillary was not.

“Mr. Saucier possessed six (6) photographs classified as ‘confidential/restricted,’ far less than Clinton’s 110 emails,” Saucier’s attorney, Derrick Hogan, wrote.

And it is a good question, isn’t it?

Ultimately Saucier was convicted of the offense, fined $100 and given a year in prison. But since Hillary got off Scot free for a much, much worse offense, the sailor wonders why he got punished at all.

Now the sailor’s mother wants to know why her son and Hillary have been held to different standards for the same offense?

“I would gladly sit in the front row of a presidential debate and look at Hillary Clinton while she tries to explain to the American public why she’s not held to the same standard as my son, a U.S. Navy Sailor is,” Kathleen Saucier said.
