Bill Clinton doesn’t seem to be much of an asset to wife Hillary Clinton’s presidential run both on and off the campaign trail.
Bill proved Donald Trump correct with telling statements he made about Syrian refugees and jobs:
Detroit has 10,000 empty, structurally sound houses—10,000. And lot of jobs to be had repairing those houses. Detroit just came out of bankruptcy and the mayor’s trying to do an innovative sort of urban homesteading program there. But it just gives you an example of what could be done. And I think any of us who have ever had any personal experience with either Syrian Americans or Syrian refugees think it’s a pretty good deal.
In other words, now that Detroit may finally be seeing a turnaround after decades of oppression and self-induced destruction under Democrat rule, Clinton sees lots of jobs — for Syrian refugees.
The statements were made during a February meeting discussing the migrant crisis at the Clinton Global Initiative and was unearthed by Breitbart.
The former president’s stance jibes with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s warning that Hillary Clinton and Democrats seem more interested in helping foreign-born refugees and illegal immigrants than American-born citizens, many of whom have been struggling to make ends-meet for a lifetime.
Clinton’s statements reemerged just as the 10,000th Syrian refugee arrived in the Unites States via President Obama’s refugee plan, with Michigan receiving the most.
