How good of a job did Hillary do deleting her emails? Trey Gowdy says ‘even God can’t read them’

Rep. Trey Gowdy, the former chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, said that Hillary Clinton’s team did such a good job use scrubbing her email server that “even God can’t read them.”

The South Carolina Republican said that her lawyers’ use of BleachBit to “prevent recovery” of the more than 30,000 emails undermines her claim that they were innocuous, purely personal messages pertaining to yoga routines and her daughter’s wedding.

During an appearance on CNN Wednesday, the former secretary of state refuted an Associated Press claim that half of the non-government people she met with were large donors to the Clinton Foundation.

“I know there’s a lot of smoke [in the AP report],” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “But there’s no fire.”

Gowdy disagreed. It’s not just fire, “it’s arson—it’s pyromania,” Gowdy told Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum on “America’s Newsroom” Thuesday.

He observed that every statement she’d made at the original news briefing on her private email server turned out to be false.

“That’s the interesting thing about credibility and believability.” he old MacCallum. “If you are a habitual serial liar in this facet of life, it tends to make people not believe you in other facets of life.”

“She and her lawyers had those emails deleted. And they didn’t just push the delete button; they had them deleted where even God can’t read them,” Gowdy said.

“They were using something called BleachBit. You don’t use BleachBit for yoga emails or bride’s maids emails. When you’re using BleachBit, it is something you really do not want the world to see.”

Clinton’s actions all relate to intent. During an appearance on “The Kelly File” Wednesday, Gowdy told host Megyn Kelly that although FBI Director James Comey said that Clinton lacked criminal intent, agents who questioned her had barely probed her on the issue.
